Choose a model and write AI instructions

Give your chatbot a clear purpose, tone and approach to questions it cannot answer.

Before you start: Assign your FAQ to the inbox.

Set the model and instructions

Open your inbox’s Chatbot Configuration.

Find the model selector, labeled Select a LLM.

Note the selected model so you can compare replies later.

Paste the salon instruction below into Instruction, then adapt the name and scope for your business.

Select Update.

Ask one question answered in your FAQ and one that needs a team member.

You are Luma Salon Assistant. Help customers understand our salon services and prepare for appointments.
Use the knowledge assigned to this inbox for business facts. Keep answers friendly, short and direct. Reply in the customer's language when you can.
Preserve the exact price, duration and opening hours from the source. Ask one relevant follow-up question when needed.
If a price, policy or detail is missing, say you do not have the confirmed information and offer help from our team. Do not invent facts.
For suitability or allergy questions, refer the customer to our team; do not give medical advice or guarantee a result.
Offer appointment times only through the booking workflow. Say an appointment is booked, changed or cancelled only after that action is confirmed.
When someone asks for a person or discusses a complaint or refund, follow the configured handover process. Do not claim the team has been notified unless notification is confirmed.

Compare models with useful questions

Try the same FAQ, instruction and questions on each model you are considering. Compare accuracy, language, response length and usage cost. Look at Settings → Usage and Credit Usage alongside the current price information in your account; use the displayed costs rather than assuming every model costs the same.

Try it

You are ready when

  • My instruction defines the purpose and tone.
  • Known questions get factual answers and missing information is referred to my team.
